Diana began working as an artist and illustrator after a career in engineering. She has been commissioned by individuals and the State of Vermont to do portraits, pets, and illustrations. Diana is a contributing member of local galleries and art associations.
During college and graduate school, Diana taught herself how to draw by studying and copying the Masters’ drawings. She studied photography and used her computer knowledge to her photos and study composition and lighting.
Diana believes composition is key to conveying the behind drawings and paintings. She spends hours taking photographs, studying paintings, and drawing. Diana is always amazed at what can be seen or felt using a simple piece of paper and pencils or paints.
