Doris Weeks paints and teaches in a number of mediums. However her favorites are watercolor, and oil. She is currently concentrating on the conservation and preservation of wildlife. Especially Raptors. Her children's picture book addresses the need for understandung the loss of habitat and is called "On a Hillside Dreaming " and available At Essex Free Library.
Doris earned her undergraduate degree at Fresno State University and coninued on to art school at the California College of Art and Catholic University D.C. for grad School. Her painting covers a wide varity of subjects, still life, landscape, flowers, large animals, trout, dogs and now birds. Birds and their Perilous Passages are the most vulnerable.
